Key Points:

1. A study was conducted to study the effect of aromatherapy using orange essential oil on women’s anxiety during labor.

2. 100 women were assigned to either a control group or an intervention group. The control group was exposed to distilled water, and the intervention group was exposed to orange essential oil.

3. Using the Spielberger inventory, the women’s anxiety levels were measured before the experiment began, and again after 20 minutes of exposure.

4. Both groups of women did experience reductions in their anxiety levels, but the group that had been exposed to the orange essential oil had a greater reduction in anxiety levels.
