1. A study was conducted to study the effect of aromatherapy using eucalyptus globulus on rats undergoing swimming exercises.
2. The rats were separated into control and oil-treated groups. The oil-treated groups received 15 minutes of aromatherapy per day, using eucalyptus globulus essential oil.
3. Over a 4-week period, the groups were subjected to increasing amounts of swimming activity.
4. At the end of the experiment, analysis of several markers showed that the rats in the oil-treated group had increased swimming performance, antioxidant capacity, and decreased oxidative damage and inflammatory reactions in their tissues when compared to the rats in the control group.
